Our Mission
Our Mission
Hope in the City is a ministry committed to bringing HOPE to every city/community through strategic initiatives and partnership of both public and private entities, as well as social and faith-based organizations.
With a constantly expanding vision for launching many future initiatives and efforts, Hope in the City has begun by merging the established efforts of several different entities. The merger of established efforts include such elements as:
Back-to-School Compassion Projects. This specific effort began in 2003 under the identity of “Feeding 5000 and More.” It has always involved inviting 5,000 people to participate in receiving a meal; a fun, but compelling anti-drug/anti-bullying presentation that included a message of HOPE; along with a new backpack and school supplies for each school-age child. Since its beginning “Feeding (Backpack) 5000” has provided over 90,000 backpacks; 1.9 million school supplies and served over 100,000 meals! In addition, over 50,000 people have personally responded to the message of HOPE in a life-changing manner.
Inspiration and Training to Churches/Non-profit organizations. For over 25 years, specific efforts have been provided to church/non-profit leaders for training, inspiration/encouragement through individual consultations/coaching, as well as affordable conferences, seminars and training events. The goal of these opportunities has always been to strengthen the leaders in personal and strategic development that would result in their respective organizations increasing their effectiveness and impact in their cities/communities.
Hope in the City International Efforts. During the past 25 years, over $5 million dollars has been invested in building over 100 Ministry Centers (Churches, Orphanages, Training Centers, etc.); while supporting hundreds of international representatives and conducting hundreds of international leadership training and organizational growth training events. In the past 25 years, we have been directly involved in providing training, resources and encouragement to over 250,000 leaders.
